A note on CLIA
Many physician office labs run CLIA-waived tests, and some also run moderate complexity tests. Lab Desk helps with the daily work around those tests: orders, results, review, sharing and payments. It does not manage your CLIA certificate, test categorization, quality control, proficiency testing or personnel records. Those stay with your lab director and your current processes.

Every order stores the ordering provider. On release they get a secure link with abnormal values highlighted, and a standing link that lists every result they ordered. That works for doctors in your practice and for outside referrals.

Frequently asked questions
Does Lab Desk handle CLIA compliance?
No. Lab Desk supports the daily workflow of your lab, but your CLIA certificate, quality control, proficiency testing and personnel requirements stay with your lab director and your existing processes.
Can we use it for waived tests we read by hand?
Yes. Add the tests to your catalog with units and reference ranges, then type results into the order. Flags work the same way for hand-entered results.
Does Lab Desk connect to our EHR?
EHR integration isn't part of Lab Desk today. Results reach providers through secure links, and you can export your data at any time. If an EHR connection matters to you, tell us.
Can staff with different jobs have different access?
Yes. Role-based permissions give each person only the access they need, and every view, edit and share is recorded in the audit log.
Can we check results away from the desk?
Yes. Lab Desk has mobile and desktop apps, so a doctor or manager can look at the review queue from anywhere.
