Blood collection centers

Every draw logged. Every sample accounted for.

A patient service center lives or dies on getting the right sample, with the right label and the right time, to the right lab. Lab Desk keeps that trail on every order.

Lab Desk: Every draw logged. Every sample accounted for.

Sound familiar?

Small mix-ups cause big redraws.

  • IDs on scraps of paper.

Sample numbers written on a log sheet, then copied again for the courier. One slip means a redraw.

  • Times nobody wrote down.

Collection time matters for some tests, and it's the first thing missing when a question comes back.

  • Where is my sample?

Patients and doctors call to ask if the sample reached the lab. The answer is buried in a shipping log.

At the chair

Sample ID and collection time on every order.

Each order holds the patient, ordering provider, tests, sample ID and collection time. Staff mark it collected as soon as the draw is done, so the record matches what's in the tube.

  • Tests and panels picked from your catalog
  • Ordering provider stored with the order
  • Who changed what, and when, in the history
Lab Desk: Sample ID and collection time on every order.

Order status

Know where every sample is in the process.

Orders move from ordered to collected, in progress, ready for review, released and shared. Anyone at the desk can answer a status call without leaving the screen.

  • Status visible on the order and the patient record
  • Filter today's draws by status
  • Fewer calls to the testing lab

Sending samples out

Keep the order open until results come back.

When samples go to another lab for testing, the order stays in Lab Desk. When results return, record them against the same order, review them and share them with the patient and the provider.

  • Results entered against the original order
  • Out-of-range values flagged for staff review
  • Secure links by email or WhatsApp
Lab Desk: Keep the order open until results come back.

Payments

Take the fee at the draw.

Send a payment link while the patient is still in the chair, or attach it to the results. Money goes into your own Stripe account.

  • Cards and digital wallets through Stripe
  • Payment status on every order
  • Lab Desk never holds your funds

Frequently asked questions

Does every order have a sample ID and collection time?

Yes. Both are part of the order, along with the patient, ordering provider, tests and payment status.

Can Lab Desk send orders electronically to a reference lab?

Not today. Lab Desk tracks the order and its status while the sample is out, and results are recorded against the same order when they return. If electronic ordering matters to you, talk to us.

Do we need to connect analyzers?

No. Instrument interfaces are optional. A collection center can run Lab Desk with results entered by hand.

Can several collection sites share one account?

Yes. The Pro plan includes multiple locations and unlimited users.

What do patients receive?

A message by email or WhatsApp with a secure link. The message never includes results or test names.

Manage patients. Share results. Get paid. All from one desk.
